Nile is currently advancing two drug candidates for the potential treatment of cardiovascular and renal disease.
CD-NP
- Recently completed a Phase 2 trial in 77 ADHF patients - results to be presented at ACC 2011
- In 2011, Nile plans to initiate a Phase I PK/PD study of cenderitide delivered via subcutaneous continuous infusion using Medtronic diabetes pump technology
- In 2012, Nile plans to initiate a Phase II dose-ranging study of cenderitide in ADHF patients in the post-acute period
- Lifecycle may ultimately encompass several cardiovascular and renal indication, including:
- Treatment in patients immediately following a heart attack
- Protection of the kidneys in patients undergoing cardiac bypass surgery
- Protection of the kidneys in patients receiving imaging contrast
CU-NP
- Pre-clinical program evaluating the opportunity for chronic dosing of CU-NP for the potential treatment of a number of cardiovascular and renal diseases.
